Snapshots of KL

Walking around Kuala Lumpur is a richly diverse experience. The Muslim influence is very strong, yet there is a harmony of life happening with the combination of cultures, religions, and lifestyles. It was very interesting to walk down a street at night and see Muslim women fully covered in black burqas followed by scantily-clad women propositioning businessmen, followed by a ladyboy, followed by a nice-looking Indian family, followed by 20-year-old European boys in tank tops looking for a good time. The architecture in the city accurately reflects the diversity of its people with older Muslim architecture contrasting against modern buildings and the futuristic, beautiful Petronas Towers. Here are some snapshots I took while walking around the city.
