Update & How Our World Would Look If You Were a Bird

{Marina Bay, Dubai}

{Meskendir Valley, Turkey}

Holy moly, my friends. I've just returned home from a six-day stay at the hospital where I was treated for a severe kidney infection. What an awful experience. It all seems like a blur now, but when I sit down and think about it, I realize just how lucky I am to be alive! If I had lived 200 years ago and been diagnosed with an infection as severe as mine was, I probably wouldn't be here. Being that sick (and getting better) really shook my perspective and helped me remember just how wonderful and precious life can be. Every day is a gift and there is so much to be enjoyed and experienced. On the flipside, being in the hospital also reminded me of all the suffering that people experience on a daily basis and how unbelievably grateful I should be each and every day for the health and good circumstances I've been blessed with.

Bradford recently found this link to 40 images of different places in the world shot from a bird's perspective. It's pretty awesome. I hope you'll take the time to have a look.

Oh honey…Glad you're better. I always think that anyone who actually checks out of a hospital alive is ahead of the game. Those places are horrible places to heal in!

Stay well
Great shots!

How awful! Glad you are doing better. I originally read this yesterday--I was a little more grateful for my life thinking about what you wrote. Thanks for sharing!
