Tortellini with Seasoned Ground Turkey, Peas & Bechamel

Last night I was craving a cheesy pasta dish with a kick. So I came up with this tortellini dish that is made with the coriander ground turkey seen here. Added some peas and a to-die-for bechamel sauce. Voila! There's something about bechamel that just tastes so comforting yet elegant at the same time.

Tortellini with Seasoned Ground Turkey, Peas & Bechamel
Yield: about 8-10 servings
Time: about 45 minutes

1 lb. ground turkey
1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 12-oz. bag frozen peas, prepared
48 oz. tortellini, cooked
2 servings Bechamel Cheese Sauce

Brown ground turkey in a large saute pan over medium heat. When turkey is fully cooked, add the next five ingredients and stir into the ground turkey until evenly coated. Let mixture marinate on the stove on low-heat until the other ingredients are ready.

In a large bowl, mix tortellini, seasoned ground turkey and cooked peas. Top with bechamel cheese sauce. Sprinkle wit parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper.
