Pants: William Rast for Target, Coat: H&M, Boots: gifted, Scarf: H&M, Bag: MMS, purchased at TJ Maxx
My last pose is making fun of the weather. The forecast on Tuesday was 100% chance of rain. Instead, we experienced a little drizzle and mist throughout the day. I'm not complaining.
I'd like to introduce you to two very important pieces in my wardrobe: my coat and my everyday bag.
Living in Southern California, I don't wear a coat often, but I know from my 4 winters in Utah that a good coat is so, so important. When you're wearing a lot of layers, it's important to be comfortable, so select a coat that fits you well. I have long arms which mean that most coats I try on have sleeves that hit me at the forearm. This lovely coat, however, fits me perfectly. I probably could have spent a lot of money searching for a coat with long sleeves. Instead, I purchased a coat at H&M (and on sale!) that was about 3 sizes too big and asked my Mom to move the buttons over. Voila!
Next, my everyday bag. Turquoise. Everyday, you say? Such a bright color? Yep! Who says you can't wear a bright, colorful bag everyday? I've found that shades of green actually make great color options for an everyday bag. I think it has something to do with the color green being so apparent in nature. Green goes well with just about everything. Have you ever seen a (colorful) flower that clashes with its green surroundings? Didn't think so? What color is your everyday bag?
